Now Ava searches the animal kingdom for new animals to count while she wonders if she will ever get to sleep again.
Why you should read it: Ms. Hill has taken a common childhood dilemma and added a surprising twist. Children will delight in seeing everything from horses and chickens to buffalos and bears try their best to take the place of those fluffy sleep-inducing sheep. The story is delightful while Mr. Wohnoutka's illustrations pull readers into this lovely bedtime tale.
